Great Trip v.1.2

NAXOS
Naxos is known in mythology as the island where Theseus abandoned Ariadne, after slaying the Minotaur; and as the island where Ariadne met Dionysus (God of wine and protector of Naxos). The stroy has two versiona about what happened next. One story tell us that Ariadne fell in love with Dionysus, while another version tell us that Ariadne was devastated and to avoid the lustful advances of Dionysus, threw herself off the cliffs of Palatia. This is also known by the locals as Portara (Hill on which a Temple of God Apollo was build)
(Portara & Port)

The thing is that whatever story you belive in Naxos is a really charming and adorable island. There is so much to see ans so many things different from other places in Europe, that you'll often find yourself wondering around without heading directly for a specific place.

The old town of Chora hides a lot of secrets of the old Naxos. The old style houses, the litlle shops, the small tavernas, the locals who invite you a greek frappe coffee and the old style backeries show the beauty and friendliness of the old town and its people. You must go for a walk through the old market!!

Also there are the nicest beaches and the most transparent water I've ever seen...

(Old Market; Plaka beach&my foot; downtown)

Now it's time to take another ferry (high speed in business class!!) to MYKONOS!!
