Once uppon a time

La prueba del delito: Glaire&Me were there!!

Great Trip v.1.3

getting lost in MYKONOS & some of the people...
My last destination was hte most famous island in the Cyclades. An island that for over half a century has been the meeting point of the rich and the beautiful, a voluptuous paradise for epicures and "bon vivants", inspirational style icon for artists and lovers of beauty, and glittering dreamland for late-night revellers. (You can also find italians and gay people...)

We went to some golden sand beaches like Paranga, Gialos and someone took us to another ones by speedboat... what about the greeks?! we found some good pubs and bars full of greeks, only just me and (sometimes) Anastassia were the foreigners.

If you try to find a place twice in a day, like a restaurant to have dinner, maybe you'll need an hour and a half to find it again! That is what happened to us when we decided to find Niko's tavern... and finally we were having dinner passed midnight!! and it happened again when we wanted to go shopping, and when we didn't find that lovely cafe, and... CRAZY LABYRINTHINE CITY!! But in Mykonos you don't need any clock, it's a non-stop island and even after clubbing you can have a wonderfull and delicious choco-banana crep ;)
What about my greek adoptive family?? I have no word to thanks their kindness and hospitality while I was there. They cooked for me, showed me around Athens and took care of me all the time. They discovered to me so many nice things like how to prepare the greek coffee, I've became a fetta addict, I lived like a real greek (so far so close to us!) and I learned a little of Greek.
I'm sure i'll be back!!! EFHARISTO!!

Great Trip v.1.2

NAXOS
Naxos is known in mythology as the island where Theseus abandoned Ariadne, after slaying the Minotaur; and as the island where Ariadne met Dionysus (God of wine and protector of Naxos). The stroy has two versiona about what happened next. One story tell us that Ariadne fell in love with Dionysus, while another version tell us that Ariadne was devastated and to avoid the lustful advances of Dionysus, threw herself off the cliffs of Palatia. This is also known by the locals as Portara (Hill on which a Temple of God Apollo was build)
(Portara & Port)

The thing is that whatever story you belive in Naxos is a really charming and adorable island. There is so much to see ans so many things different from other places in Europe, that you'll often find yourself wondering around without heading directly for a specific place.

The old town of Chora hides a lot of secrets of the old Naxos. The old style houses, the litlle shops, the small tavernas, the locals who invite you a greek frappe coffee and the old style backeries show the beauty and friendliness of the old town and its people. You must go for a walk through the old market!!

Also there are the nicest beaches and the most transparent water I've ever seen...

(Old Market; Plaka beach&my foot; downtown)

Now it's time to take another ferry (high speed in business class!!) to MYKONOS!!

Great Trip v.1.1

... SANTORINI

(Thirassia&nice landscape)

Afterwards the amazing excursion it's time to relax on the swarthy beaches of Perissa! During the walk by the sea two lovely kitties came to me thinking I was its catmother... Maybe "Josefa" could do the job... not me!
Delight in the greek sun and the greek people... jeje
(Perissa beach)
Following the chill out it's time to jump on another island... NAXOS!!

Great trip v.1

SANTORINI
(my first choice)

It has been said that the sunsets in Santorini are the best in the world. And I can tell you that's true. From the Caldera breathtaking views of the volcano and neighbouring islands. From the east, miles of dark sandy or pebbled beaches. Everywhere one sees small domed churches and remnants of days gone by.
This is Santorini seen through the eyes of people who know and love it ...

(Thira)

The island group of Santorini (Thira, Thirassia, Palea & Nea Kameni) are the result of several volcanic eruptions since 1630 BC. After the last eruption of Nea Kameni in 1950, the Santorini volcano remains dormant till today. Here you can check the historical site of "exceptional natural beauty"

(Excursion to the Volcano's islands)

Here you're the most superb swim you could ever have, at the caldera's hot springs. While the ship is waiting, you can enjoy your swim!! Astonishing hot water in the old craters...
The excursion goes on visiting the only village of the Thirassia island: Manolas, where there's only one restaurant but an unthinkable view.

(Caldera's hot springs&Manolas)

Great Trip v.0

Athens. A magical and a fucking romantic city. The city worshipped by gods and people that has the most glorious history in the world, in every stone you walk on. The capital of Greece has always been the birthplace of civilization. It is the city where democracy was born and where the most important civilization of ancient world flourished and relives through superb architectural masterpieces. Athens is a divine city. Let yourselves to its magic...

Athens is a city with different aspects. Lively markets, fancy restaurants and traditional taverns, lovely cafes... All have a place in this city. The heart of Athens is beating sorrounded with ancient stuff under the Acropolis' eye.
